Happy 2 Months Ella

Wow...I feel like we just got home from the hospital...and now 2 months have flown by. What a difference a month can make. She is changing so fast and seems to be learning so much everyday.
Here are the 2 month "Ella Facts"

1. She weighed in at 9lbs 11oz at her 6 week appointment with the pediatrician
2. She is mostly in size 0-3 months clothes...some of her Newborn clothes still fit
" Being so cute is exhausting!!"
3. She could spend hours a day laying on her play mat and "talking" to the animals and kicking up a storm
4. She has gotten very verbal...I think we have a talker on our hands.
5. She had her official first social smile on November 24th. She hasn't stopped since. The other day I was holding what I thought was a sleeping baby, only to find her looking at me with a big smile and those dimples!
6. She is trying to hard to giggle. She gets all worked up with her arms a big smile and a little squeal at the end.
7. She is becoming a pretty good sleeper. (thank God!!) She goes down at around 6-6:30pm and wakes up around 1am to eat, a brief feeding at 3-4am and then up and ready to go at 6am. I think the 3 am feeding is almost gone since most of the time she barely eats. Going from feeding her every 2-3 hours to only twice a night...what a difference for Mommy! Sleep is a beautiful thing!!
8. Speaking of sleep she is in her big girl crib in her own room during the first part of the night. I can't help to bring her in after her first night feeding though. But I don't think it will be long till the pack and play in our room gets packed away and she will be sleeping in her room all night.
9. She is a morning bird now!! Wow, I am beginning to love the early mornings with her. I don't even mind getting up so early because she is so happy and most active btwn. 6am-7:30am. It has been fun catching Nonnie and Grandpa on skype during the wee hours before Grandpa heads to work. They love to watch her play and Grandpa even read her a story. She is one lucky girl to have such great Grandparents!
10. She LOVES her bath. She would sit and kick in the water until she turned into a prune if we'd let her.
11. She is so ready for Christmas!! She can't wait for the house to be filled with tons of family! We are so excited that both sides of the family have decided to spend Christmas here with us. Based on the number of packages Grandma has sent...she is going to get spoiled!!
12. Her parents think Christmas came early this year. What a beautiful gift God has blessed us with! We are so undeserving of this but am humbled that God thinks highly enough of us to allow us to be Ella's Mommy and Daddy! No one could have ever told me just how great being Ella's mom would be.
13. We all would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with many blessings and joy!!

Here are a few pictures of this past month and a little video of her playing! ENJOY!

  1. Oh Michelle, Ella is so adorable, you can tell she is just trying her hardest to get that smile and giggle out and she did! I also really like the little giggle from Mom at the end. :)
