A little bit of a blog failure!! Things here have been super busy with Jason TDY for 3 weeks this month I haven’t quite found the time for blogging any updates. My Mom came again during his trip and was able to spend a week with us. WHAT A HUGE HELP! And a great way to pass the time till Jason got home. Sadly, I used that time putting in a lot of hours in at work so she could watch Ella but it was great to know she was in such good hands and the home cooked meals I came home to were an added bonus. The time with my Mom was the biggest blessing of this TDY!
Thankfully, Jason was home for 36 hours on Mother’s Day weekend to help me celebrate. And boy did he make the most of it! On Saturday he took Ella and I flying. WOW, not many Mommies can say there husbands took them jet setting for Mother’s Day. We went to Ocean City, MD and got a cab from the airport to the boardwalk and walked around and had lunch right on the intercoastal waterway and watch he boats coming in and out. It was the weekend of their annual Springfest so we got to walk through and see the vendors. And then flew home. We had such a nice day. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Ella did awesome on her first private flight. She even wanted to take the reigns and fly it herself. I wonder who she takes after???!
Ella taking after her Daddy (and Grandpa too)
The next morning I woke up to flowers and 2 beautiful cards from Jason and Ella and got treated to breakfast out. What a nice weekend!
I am reminded on this Mother’s day how blessed I am for the Mother’s in my life. For a Mother that gave all she had to raise me and my brother and who is one of the best examples of a Godly woman that I know. Thankful for a wonderful Mother-in-Law who raised a wonderful son and taught him how to love! And this year I am especially thankful for the beautiful baby who has made me a mother! I truly believe that motherhood is one of God’s greatest gifts to women!
Here are some more pictures from Mother’s Day weekend.

Learning how to play in the sand
Just a really cool sand sculpture we saw while we were walking on the beach! Imagine the man hours that went into that! WOW! It was something.
Tuckered out from a long fun day!
Thank you Jason for working so hard to make this Mother’s day memorable!
