This past weekend we traveled down to Orlando, Florida for a conference for my work. I was lucky enough to have 2 stow - a - ways come along with me. Ella took her first plane ride and her very thankful parents are happy that she as such a great ‘lil flyer!
Although most of my days were spent in the conference Ella and Daddy spent most of their days enjoying the beautiful Florida weather. I think they put 100 miles on “The Bob” stroller. Ella had so much fun sitting up like a big girl and checking out the world around her. We stayed at the Disney Dolphin resort which is walking distance to so many great areas. It is a beautiful resort. It was fun meeting up with the them for breaks and at night. While we were there we were even able to get a distant view of the shuttle Discovery take off. A neat piece of history!
During out trip to Florida, Ella got to take her first swim in a pool. We were excited to see how much she enjoyed the pool. She has recently decided bath time is the worst thing we could possibly do to her so we were a little nervous she’d feel the same way about the pool. But as soon as she warmed up in the pool her little legs didn’t stop moving! I think we have a swimmer on our hands. I know many summer days in Grandma and PopPop’s pool are in order!
The biggest highlight of our trip was a visit from Grandpa, Nonnie, Uncle Rusty, and Michelle. We were even able to help Nonnie celebrate her birthday while we were all together!

Our time in Florida flew by. We were certainly sad to see our time there come to an end. We are so thankful to be able to get away as a family and get some much needed downtime together. It now has us dreaming about more time with family and the warmer weather to come!
