What a beautiful and fun wedding and a beautiful couple! On May 26th my little cousin married to one great catch! The whole family got together in Maryland to celebrate. We were lucky enough to have my mom spend the week before with us watching Ella, so the Weds before the wedding Mom and I were able to drive down together. We missed having Jason there the first part of the week but we were all excited to have him join us on Friday!
It was quite a family reunion. Having us all together really makes us feel blessed to have such a wonderful group to call family and we were all excited to see it grow by one on the night of the 26th.
To share a special moment: one night (way past my bedtime!) I walked up stairs to find Aunt Cookie, Michelle (Russell’s Girlfriend), and Russell sitting at our Nonnie’s feet listening to some stories of her life. It really got me thinking about how much I love and cherish moments like that with family. I wish I would have had my camera to capture that sweet memory.
We had so much fun that weekend. And Ella LOVED all the attention. She got meet the rest of the family she hadn’t had a chance to meet yet. She was an angel all weekend. I was so proud of her. It is so much fun to watch how much joy she brings to everyone. She can turn grown men into mush and have them talking in baby voices to her in no time flat!! Uncle Rusty even offered to watch her so I could get my nails done with the girls. Both survived! I was more worried about Uncle Rusty than Ella! He is so good with her.
Karen and Jimmy have done a tremendous amounts of work to their home. Jimmy is so handy and put a huge addition on their home. It is beautiful. I loved being able to see the finished product. I’ve always loved being there….Aunt Karen’s house has a way of making everyone feel at home.
On Saturday Keith, Jen, and Madison joined us and took Ella for the night so Mommy and Daddy could have a date night at the wedding. It was nice to have some adult time but it was also fun to see K,J, and M too! We spent the day walking around Annapolis. It is a pretty neat city. Madison is growing up so quick so I cherish time with her. Ella enjoyed the spoiling from Aunt Jenny and she even got to go swimming in the hotel pool with her cousin.
What a fun weekend!
