Happy 9 months!

Dear Ella,

Happy 9 months sweet girl! How fun it is being your Mommy and Daddy these days. It has been so fun to watch you grow and develop over the past month. You are crawling everywhere! It is hard to keep up with you. You are climbing on the couches to help you stand and you are cruising along the furniture. You are SO busy. Yesterday, in your little pool I turned around for a second and looked back and you were standing unassisted. As soon as you realized it you sat right back down but you sure surprised Mommy. You will walk holding our hands. You used to need a lot of support but now you will walk with just holding onto one hand. Your balance is getting so good!

You love to explore! I love watching your curiosity. You don’t just play with toys, you turn them over and explore the nuts and bolts.

It is as if you are trying to figure out how everything works. It seems like you are really learning about the world around you. I love how curious you are. We often joke that you are going to be an engineer!

You are growing like a weed! You were 17 pounds at your 9 month check up with the doctor. You are in the 30th% for both your length and weight. You are growing out of your 6 month clothes and fitting into your 9 month clothes now. We are excited to watch you grow and change into such a sweet ‘lil girl! One thing that is also growing like crazy is your hair. In some lights it looks light, light blonde in other lights it looks strawberry blonde. We love that when you wake up you always have a case of the “bed head hair”!! We love it so much that I don’t even comb it down. It makes me smile!! Looks like you are excited about it too!!

 

Your new favorite thing is your laugh! You laugh all the time for no reason at all. Oh, we love it. We were  at a restaurant the other morning and you laughed at every person that walked by! I am sure you were making people smile! We will often hear you in the backseat laughing away! Too cute! You always bring huge smiles to our faces!

You have started harassing your poor dog Bailey. She is not so sure about this new little person who is playing in her water bowl when Mommy turns her back. Or the little girl who tries to crawl all over her. She is always sweet with you but often runs the other way when she sees you on the move. I am sure things will change when you start dropping all your food on the floor next to her!! She might not run away so quickly!
