7 Months

             

Sweet Ella Grace,

Happy 7 month birthday sweet girl! Every month I swear that this is my favorite age….until the next month! You have developed quite a personality and boy are you fun! We are enjoying being your Mommy and Daddy more and more every day!

Over the last month you have really developed those gross motor skills. This past weekend you started crawling….It took a while before you finally discovered how to move about on those knees of yours. You would try so hard but couldn’t quite figure out how to coordinate your knees and hands at the same time. You were SO determined! You can now also sit up on your own. You did that for the first time while you and Daddy were hanging out on Memorial Day. You can roll anywhere you want to go but most of the time you are too determined to get on those knees and crawl that you can’t be bothered by rolling!

You are growing like crazy! Over 16 lbs. on our last visit to the doctors. You are wearing size 2 diapers and 6-9 month clothes. Everyone who hasn’t seen you for a little while talk about how tall you have grown over the last month.

You have such a happy personality. Your laugh is contagious! Sometimes we catch you looking at something and cracking yourself up! Often you will be laughing up a storm in the store and causing people all around you to smile. A women was dancing in front of you trying to make you laugh in the store today….you had your serious face on and then you let out a big laugh…you made her day! It makes me so proud to see just how much joy you bring to the lives of others…even strangers. I pray you continue to do that your whole life through.

You are still a wonderful eater! You have tried so many new foods this month. Your favorite new food – mango! I think it is because you get to eat it like a big girl with your fingers or maybe your just your Mommy’s child!

You are sleeping through the night on most nights! (from 6:30 pm- 5:30 or 6 am) But you are too cool for napping lately! You are just too busy that you can’t be bothered with napping. It is like you are afraid life will pass you by! Getting you to sleep can sometimes be tough but I think you just want to play. You even got Daddy to read 50 pages of your first bible story book the other night just to help get you to fall asleep! We often walk in to you pulling down your crib bumper and looking through the slats! Busy, busy girl!

We are reminded daily just how blessed we are to be your Mommy and Daddy!
